Dr. Amanda Davis, DPC, LPC

Meet Dr. Amanda Davis, a dedicated and accomplished Clinical Advisory Counsel for a Pretty Girls With Cancer, whose passion for mental health and wellness has positively impacted the lives of many.

Born and raised in Madison (Jackson), MS, Dr. Davis currently resides in Katy (Houston), TX, where she has made a significant impact in the field of counseling. Her educational journey began at Jackson State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and later her Master of Science degree in Community Counseling. During her time at the university, she was also an active member of the Prancing J-Settes, the collegiate dance team, adding to her diverse experiences. Driven by her dedication to continuous learning and professional growth, Dr. Davis pursued a Doctorate degree in Professional Counseling from Mississippi College, further solidifying her expertise in the field.

As the founder of Sunshine Counseling DPC, PLLC, Dr. Davis established her own private practice, specializing in mental counseling with a focus on couples, relationship counseling, supporting Veterans, and providing guidance to adults aged 21 and above. Her commitment to helping others navigate through life's challenges and find healing shines through in her practice. Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Davis is a devoted mother to an amazing 13-year-old daughter. She draws strength and guidance from her spiritual beliefs, seeking counsel from God and Savior Jesus Christ in all aspects of her life.

In addition to her passion for mental health, Dr. Davis is also an avid fitness enthusiast, with weight lifting and cross-training being her fitness pursuits of choice. She finds joy in exploring new places, embracing adventure, and trying new things, all while enjoying the vibrancy of the color yellow. With her expertise, compassion, and dedication to improving mental well-being, Dr. Amanda Davis plays a vital role as a Clinical Advisory Counsel for the Non-Profit Cancer Organization. Her insight and guidance help shape the organization's approach to supporting those affected by cancer, ensuring that mental health remains a top priority in their journey towards healing and hope.

Through her work and personal passions, Dr. Davis embodies the spirit of empowerment, inspiring others to seek strength in mental health, wellness, and self-discovery.
